Super Bowl Party Snack Ideas

Food for the Game
-
In the room where the game is being broadcast, be sure to include a lot of finger foods and napkins. Guests who are into the game are typically diving into the platters of treats in front of them with both eyes on the television. Be prepared for spills. Treats that don't need plates or utensils generally work best in this setting. Set up tortilla chips with a variety of dipping sauces, potato skins, mozzarella sticks and deviled eggs. Nuts and popcorn are also a big hit. These can be served in large bowls or given out in individual containers.
Themed Treats
-
Don't be afraid to get creative, even if it seems a bit corny. Bake a football-shaped cake or decorate potato skins to look like mini-footballs. Use food coloring on deviled eggs the color of the teams playing. Use Cocoa Krispies treats instead of Rice Krispies to create brown, football-shaped Rice Krispies treats.
Hearty Snacks
-
For heartier snacks, prepare food that can be made in bulk. Chili or Swedish meatballs are easy, popular options. Having food for plates before or after the game, or during halftime, will make your guests happy. Don't be afraid to ask your guests for help. State you're holding a "Halftime Potluck" on your party invitations and invite guests to bring a dish to share.
Healthy Snacks
-
Not everyone who comes to a Super Bowl party plans on consuming 10,000 calories in a period of a few hours. Offer some healthy snacks. Vegetable platters and large salads are easy and provide guests with a much healthier option.
