How to Wear Mini Medals

The Olympics can prove to be an inspirational event for many sports fans. Watching record breakers like Michael Phelps in the summer Olympics or recalling the brilliant performance of the U.S. Olympic hockey team in the 1980 winter Olympics gives many fans feelings of national pride and imbues them with the desire to do their personal best at their chosen sport. Young people may also dream of their own Olympic medals and may want to wear mini-medals as a tribute.

Instructions

    • 1

Put the mini-medal on a ribbon and wear it prominently around your neck. This is how standard Olympic medals are displayed when they are won and then handed out on the stand. You can wear a mini-medal the same way.

    • 2

Attach the mini-medal to your shirt and put it on the left side. Victory medals often go on the left side of a military uniform and the same holds for sports medals. Mini-medals may get ovewhelmed when worn on a ribbon, so why not display them on the left side of the shirt?

    • 3

Frame your mini-medals and put them under glass. This will allow you to hang them on a wall in your bedroom or office. These types of medals display nicely on a black felt background and collecting mini-medals is a great way to show your enthusiasm for the Olympics.

    • 4

Collect mini-medals of great Olympic heroes like Jim Thorpe, Jesse Owens, Bob Hayes, Bruce Jenner, Eric Heiden and Michael Phelps. Your collection will be much more thorough when you can collect mini-medals of great Olympic stars of the past. These can be displayed prominently on the walls of your office, rec room or bedroom.
