How to Get Ready for a Penn State Football Game

Penn State fans, students and alumni take their football very seriously. Therefore, it is an interesting experience getting ready for a Penn State football game. Even if you aren't attending the game, it takes time to prepare yourself for a Penn State game. Everyone loves Joe Paterno and the Nittany Lions, so here are some tips on how to get ready for a Penn State football game.

      Get your tickets for the game. It is best if you have season tickets but if you don't, make sure you purchase a ticket before the game if you really want to attend. Sold out games are the norm at Penn State and you don't want to be without a ticket.

      Prepare yourself early for the game. You can lay out the clothes you want to wear the night before if you don't want to get up too early.

      Dress for the game. Penn State T-shirts, jerseys and sweatshirts are among the apparel you should choose for the Penn State game. Blue and white are the colors so make sure you don't wear any other colors. It is usually cold so be sure you are warm enough.

      Select the banners or pom-poms you are taking with you. Signs or banners routing for the Penn State Nittany Lions are prominent and pom-poms aren't just for cheerleaders at a Penn State game. Cheering is mandatory--the louder the better.

      Take your tickets and if you are a student don't forget your ID. If you don't have tickets, you can still show up and enjoy the tailgating.
