The Best Seats on the Talladega Superspeedway

In the southern United States, NASCAR and college football have an almost religious following. One of NASCAR's most popular destinations is Talladega, Alabama 50 miles east of Birmingham. The city is home to Talladega Superspeedway, one of the top tracks on the racing circuit. Talladega hosts a NASCAR race in April and another one in October, and each race attracts tens of thousands of spectators.
  1. Tri-Oval Tower

    • Located on the back center stretch of the grandstand section, the Tri-Oval Tower affords you a chance to see the action all over the speedway. Not only do you get a good view of the action as the cars approach the final turn, you can see the cars on the back stretch. If you are the type of fan that likes action, you will see it all over the track from this location. Seats in the Tri-Oval Suites afford a good view of the track from an indoor location.

    Orchard Hill Sections

    • Located to the left and right of the Tri-Oval Tower, the Orchard Hill seats let you see action going out of turn five and heading into turn one, depending on where you are in the seating area. The Orchard Hill seats are broken into north and south sections, and they are the next best thing to Tri-Oval seats because of the location. If you are the type of fan who likes to see cars approaching the start-finish line, the south seats are closer to the checkered flag.

    Moss-Thornton Sections

    • The front section and the tower seats in the Moss-Thornton section are positioned just behind the start-finish line. This means you will get a good view of the first driver across for the checkered flag. If the action is close, you will see the cars come across the line. This section is positioned by the end of pit road, so you can see cars coming out of the pits.

    Frontrunners Club Section One

    • Located on the infield and open only to motor homes, this stretch of Talladega is right between turns four and five. Infield seats afford you a chance to watch the racing up close. Infield at Talladega tends to have a party atmosphere, meaning you can socialize with fellow NASCAR fans.

    Infield Sections

    • At the north and south ends of the track, sections are set up for automobiles, motor homes and other vehicles to pull in and watch the race. Like with the Frontrunners Club, the infield affords you a chance to make a weekend of it. Camping is allowed at Talladega for a fee, which includes admissions and opens several days before the race.
