1
Purchase a hand controlled driving simulator wheel and software from disabled racing support companies, or from an online source. Follow the directions for installation of the wheel and the software in conjunction with your computer.
-
2
Learn the controls of the hand operated driving simulator. Practice driving on the simulated courses to gain experience before attempting to drive a hand-operated motor vehicle. Learn to use the manual shifting option, if you plan to have this installed in your vehicle.
-
3
Install hand operated driving controls in your motor vehicle. Some devices can be self installed depending on your knowledge and skill with wiring and tools, but having a professional install the devices is recommended. Practice learning the controls in your car in a parking lot or open area before driving near other vehicles or at high speeds.
