How to Bake a Mitt
Breaking in your baseball mitt or glove quickly may be important to some players. There are many methods to breaking in your mitt, including with oils, using it regularly and the baking method. When baking, it is always better to not overcook or over-oil the glove, it may become too soft and not be good for use. Baking your mitt is a quick fix for breaking in a new glove.
Things You'll Need
- Baseball mitt
- Hot Glove foam
- Cookie sheet
- Dish towel

Pre-heat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

Spray the mitt with the product "Hot Glove" enough to coat, but not to make it too oily.

Place a dish towel on a cookie or baking sheet and place the glove on top. Put in oven for 2 to 3 minutes; any longer might damage the mitt.

Remove the glove from the oven and let it cool before touching. Test out the mitt for flexibility. If it's too stiff, repeat the process, making sure to remove the glove after 2 minutes.
