How to Choose the Correct Catcher's Shin Guard Size
Manufacturers make shin guards in T-ball, youth, intermediate and adult sizes, but these classifications should only be used as a guide. Measuring a player for shin guards and matching the measurement to the size will provide maximum safety and correct fit.

With the player standing, measure from the center of the knee cap down to the bottom of the shin or where the ankle bends. The measurement will be the size shin guard needed.

Match the measurement you have with the same length shin guard.

Different companies offer different size shin guards, so you may have to look for a company that makes a shin guard in the size you need.
As of March 2011, Wilson was offering shin guards in sizes 11, 13, 15 and 17 inches. Rawlings offered guards in sizes of 10, 12.5, 13, 14.5, 15, 15.5, 16, 17 and 17.5 inches.
