Warm up basketball drill to start practice –
Everybody has a ball – Place a pylon or chair at the top of the key at each end of the court – Split the team into 2 groups if you have 10 or more –
Each group starts at half court and dribbles at the pylon and makes a game move at full speed 1st to the right and past the pylon for a layup –
Get your own rebound and go to the end of your line-
Next time the same move to the left – 4 moves each done to the right then the left – stutter step, inside-out, crossover, behind the back –
Sometimes we do the 1st two moves for a lay-up and the 2nd two into the lane for a short pull-up jumper

SWAT DRILL:
Start with two people free throw line high out by side line, and one on free throw line, coach at mid court who is passer.
Have other team mates around to retrieve balls and get them back to coach. Start out by passing to one side, person in middle has to run and swipe ball away with proper hand and then hustle to other side to do same. Do this for a total of x-number of swipes (coach chooses).
Good conditioning drill also .
