How to Give a Six-Pack in Volleyball

"Six-packing an opponent has nothing to do with giving him beer," says Rob Heidger, professional beach volleyball player. "A 'six-pack' is when you deliberately hit the ball so it smacks your opponent square in the face. It's not a very cool thing to do."

      Know where your opponent is.

      Time your jump so you hit the ball when you're at the peak.

      Direct the ball with your wrist at your opponent's (blocker's) face.

      Watch as he winces when the ball contacts his face.

      Check whether he's seeing stars. If he is, serve to him next.
