How to Remove a One-Piece BMX Crank

Bicycles work by transferring manpower into machine power, primarily through the use of the crank. The crank, which turns when the cyclist pedals, usually has a three-piece or one-piece design. The one-piece design comes with most bicycles that have a single gear and do not require sophisticated shifting mechanisms for varied terrain. BMX bicycles, employed for tricks and competitive racing, usually have a one-piece crank. The special design of a one-piece crank makes it easy to remove if you have the right tools and technique.
