Instructions for Scotch Doubles in Bowling
Bowling is a great sport. You can spend hours playing alone to improve your skills, but you can also play with a team. Instead of each player bowling his or her own game as in a traditional team match, try Scotch Doubles. Bowlers share frames on Scotch Doubles. The games will go faster, and if you are new to the variant, you will enjoy the novelty of the format.

1
Divide your group into teams of two, and choose the order in which the teams will bowl. Instead of each player having his or her own frame, frames are shared in Scotch Doubles.
-
2
Have the first player on team one bowl. If he or she does not bowl a strike, the second player on the team bowls the second throw of the frame. If the first player on the team does score a strike, have the second member bowl the first throw in the next frame.

Continue this process for every team throughout the entire game. Alternate the throwing sequence when you begin a new game.
