1
Decide whether you want a fingertip hole or a semi-fingertip hole in your Twisted Fury bowling ball. Try your hands in a few different, already-drilled configurations to see what feels best. Your typical drill pattern is probably best.
-
2
Measure the distance between the base of your thumb and your fingers. Where these holes are drilled will determine where to put the pin, mass bias and the center of gravity. The Twisted Fury is built with a later hook because it is pearlized. Keep this in mind when determining where to drill, since the closer to the center of gravity the pin is placed, the earlier it will hook.

3
Place the Twisted Fury ball in the drill press. Be sure the Twisted Fury is secured in the drill press so the holes are made directly according to your measurements. Drill holes longer than your fingers because it is easier to fill them in than to make them deeper without throwing off the pin placement and mass bias.
-
4
Sand the Twisted Fury bowling ball to get rid of any irregular edges or rough patches. This will make the ball roll better and show whether or not you have created the best pattern for your throw.
-
5
Add thumb or finger inserts if the Twisted Fury holes feel a bit wide. Finger sizes fluctuate with the time of day, salt intake and temperature, making inserts the best way to accommodate such changes.
-
6
Throw your Twisted Fury bowling ball to see how it hooks and curves. If you do not feel that the drilling pattern you used is best, fill in the holes and repeat the process.
