How to Apply Swix Wax F4 Paste

Swix makes a variety of ski waxes, klisters and ski tools. Its F4 Universal Paste Wax is a glide wax designed for downhill skis and snowboards. It provides extra glide to the base of the skis or boards and is suitable for all snow conditions. If applied on a table in the ski lodge, F4 paste wax is ready to go by the time you get outside.

  • F4 Combi Brush (T0166B)
  • 2 felt pads
  • Snowboard or skis

      Place the snowboard or skis upside down on a table.

      Remove the lid on the F4 wax tin or unscrew the cap on a tube of F4 wax. Coat the felt pad with wax by dipping it into the tin or squeezing wax from the tube onto it. Rub the wax onto the base of the skis or board. Apply a thin coating. Do not glob on or add excess wax to the base.

      Brush the wax into the ski or snowboard base with the F4 Combi Brush, a Swix product made to work with the F4 wax. Scrub the wax smoothly and use the friction of the brush to warm the wax, making it more viscous.

      Buff down the warmed wax using a clean felt pad.
