Fencing Epee Screwless Tips

Epee fencing requires regular maintenance or replacement of the tip depending on how often or rigorously the epee is used. The electric tips on epees are notoriously hard to replace because the vast majority of conventional tips (such as French or German style) and many proprietary designs require tiny screws that must be installed while pressure is applied on a spring. Fortunately, a handful of companies have developed simpler "screwless" tips for the epee that make life easier for the armorer.

    Zip Fencing Screwless Tips

    • Zip Fencing manufactures an alternative form of screwless epee tips. Zip Fencing's tips are designed to be used with conventional French or German barrels and are installed with proprietary tools. The cost of the tips and tool is about the same as a complete barrel, tip, and wire replacement, but requires that a barrel be pre-installed.
