Brine Guru Tricks

The Brine Guru stick is a non-regulation lacrosse trick stick that players use to develop hand and eye coordination. Not only can doing tricks with the Brine Guru lacrosse stick help players develop coordination, the tricks can also be very impressive to watch when the a trick or string of tricks are performed well. While some tricks can be performed with a regulation-length stick, the shorter length of the Brine Guru stick makes many tricks easier to complete. Brine Guru sticks come in bright colors that allow players to express their styles.
  1. Backside Bump

    • The Backside Bump is a basic trick for users of the Brine Guru stick. The player holds the stick just below the net of the stick and flicks the ball out of the net and over the arm of the player. The player then flips up the back of the stick to hit the ball back in front of the player. To complete the trick the player must catch the ball in the net again. This trick can be performed continuously as the player hits the ball back and forth between the ends of the stick.

    Helicopter

    • During the helicopter trick the player holds the stick just below the net and flips the ball out of the net and over his shoulder. This part of the trick is very similar to the backside bump. But instead of hitting the ball forward again, the player rotates his arm so the net is now behind him and he catches the ball in the net of the stick again. This trick develops ball control since the athlete must know where to expect the ball to come down since he can't follow the entire path of the ball with his eyes.

    Ground Bump

    • The ground bump trick helps a player to develop control of both the Brine Guru stick and the ball. During this trick the player holds the stick just below the netting. He then flips the ball out of the netting and allows it to hit the ground. As the ball bounces off the pavement the player hits the ball once with the back of the stick. When the ball bounces back a second time the player catches the ball in the netting of the stick.

    Kombo

    • The kombo trick is a combination of three others. It starts with a forward bump where the player tosses the ball in the air in front of his body, hits it with the end of the stick, and catches it back in the net. The movement of the Brine Guru stick is continuous as the player starts to perform the helicopter trick. Just as that trick is finished and the ball is returned to the net the the ball is tossed over his shoulder to complete a backside bump. The entire routine should be smooth with the movements flowing into each other to be performed properly.
