How to Get a Patriot's Autograph at a Game

One of the frustrations about being a football fan is the distance between yourself and your favorite players. It can be a real thrill when you bridge that distance by acquiring a personal item from a player, like a jersey, ball or autograph. Autograph-seekers can hope to snag a signature from one of the New England Patriots, either at one of their home games in Gillette Stadium, or at an away game elsewhere.

Instructions

    • 1

Attend a Patriots spring training event. Although this is not an official game, spring training sessions are sometimes open to the public and players may be more accessible. The practice fields adjacent to Gillette Stadium have a designated autograph area.

    • 2

Show up at a game very early and go to the in-season practice field, adjacent to the stadium, when you may be able to catch the team running drills.

    • 3

Buy a ticket in the front rows around the field. For home games at Gillette Stadium, purchase a ticket in Sections 115, 116 or 117. These sections are adjacent to where the players emerge from the locker room and offer your best chance for snagging an autograph.

    • 4

Call a player by name or signal his attention by waving or gesturing with your pen and object to be signed.

    • 5

Offer the player your pen and paper, ball, jersey or other memorabilia.
