How A One Ball Handoff Drill Also Works for Pre Game Warm-up
This is an excellent football hand-off drill as well as a great pre-game warmup. Try it; you’ll be pleased with the improvements.
One Ball Handoff Drill
Two Lines of players opposing each other 7-10 yards apart. (1 Football)
Coach has the ball standing facing the player (2-3 yards away) from him.
- Start the drill, player comes to you, hand off to the player on the left.
- When the player receives the ball (standard Bread basket), the opposing player starts towards the player.
- The player with the ball, then hands off to the opposing player on the left when he gets to him.
- Then the opposing player starts.
- Players go to the end of the line ready to go again.
- 1st you walk through this. Then as the players get used to it, they can go faster.
Once they get it down, then you reverse the hand off to the right.
