How to Make a Path for the Ball to Get Into the Target
Putting can be the most frustrating part of golf. A simple putt can turn into many strokes if the proper technique is not known. One of the keys to putting is lining up a path for the ball to go into the cup. Putting involves having a keen eye and good feel of how hard to hit the ball. Professional golfers can make putting seem easy, however years of practice helped them to get their putting game on track.

1
Stand behind your ball when you are on the putting green. Standing behind the ball will help you view different slopes on the green.
-
2
Look at the various slopes of the green to determine if the surface will affect the ball to roll a certain direction. Squat down behind the ball to get a better view of the slopes.
-
3
Approach your ball and stand over it as if you are about to putt. Look down at the ball and slowly move your eyes towards the hole. This step will allow you to visualize the shot you want.
-
4
Picture the ball rolling towards the hole in a path that accounts for the green slopes. Visualizing the shot will allow for your eyes to create an imaginary path for your ideal putt.
