How to Repair Paint Chips on Golf Clubs
Avid golfers--or angry golfers who tend to take their shanked shots out on their clubs--may find some of the paint chips off of their clubs. Because clubs can be very expensive, most people don't run out to purchase a new club or new set because of the chips. You can, however, cover up the paint chips. Golf paint has been created to repair paint chips in just a few minutes. Golf paint can be purchased online or through your local golf store.
Things You'll Need

- Lint-free cloth
- Car wax paste
Instructions

1
Clean the club with a damp cloth where it has been chipped or scratched. The paint will not stick properly if the club is dirty.
-
2
Shake the bottle of golf paint thoroughly to ensure the paint is properly mixed.
-
3
Apply a thin coat of the golf paint using the brush attached to the lid of the paint. Apply the thin coat in one direction along the chip.
-
4
Allow the golf club 24 hours to completely dry.
-
5
Add a second coat if the chip is deep. If a second coat is not needed, skip to Step 6.
-
6
Buff the club with a clean, lint-free cloth.
-
7
Apply a dime-size amount of car wax paste to the lint-free cloth. Wax the club with the cloth to make it shine.
