Instructions

    • 1

Take apart an old sweatshirt or jacket to use as the template for your varsity jacket. Use your stitch remover to take apart the sleeves, front right, front left and back sections.

    • 2

Lay your jacket fabric out flat on a hard surface. Pin each section from Step 1 onto your jacket fabric. Cut out each section, leaving an extra 1/2-inch seam allowance around each piece.

    • 3

Sew each section of your jacket together, beginning with the shoulder seams of the front right, left and back sections. Sew along the side seams, then attach the sleeves. Attach the felted varsity numbers on the back of your jacket.

Make four punctures down the front right edge for your snap-on buttons, using your leather punch. Attach the bottom section of the snap on buttons. Repeat on the left front section with the top half of the snap-on buttons.

Add any additional numbers, logos or mottos your desire to your jacket.
