How to Decorate a Football Trophy Case

Football display cases allow players and teams from the past to receive recognition from current students and faculty. Pictures of past performers put faces to the names that make up a school's football history and lore. Decorating a trophy case with memorabilia from previous years as well as items related to the current team gives the school's past triumphs a living memorial to serve as a reminder of past greatness and inspiration to teams for the future.

Instructions

    • 1

Include all trophies and plaques earned by individual players, coaches and teams, such as state title, conference champion, player of the year and coach of the year trophies. Place any trophies that were given by other organizations in a place of honor in the trophy case, near the front at eye level.

    • 2

Add any school or team honors to the display case, such as freshman of the year or most improved player. Yearly trophies should be rotated out of the case each year and replaced by the newest recipient honors.

    • 3

Place pictures of each year's teams and coaches against the background walls; for new schools and display cases, place pictures of every team. Swap out older pictures for newer ones as the back wall gets crowded. Leave photos of teams that were noteworthy for winning a title or going undefeated as part of a historical section of the case.

    • 4

Place footballs, helmets and other football gear in the case, such as a game ball from a noteworthy game or the helmet of a player who went on to become a football star.

    • 5

Include school-related memorabilia such as photos of the mascot, a set of pom poms and a school flag, if there is one.
