Hurdle Cones
-
A hurdle cone is a sports cone used to test and improve an athlete's agility. Each hurdle cone set consists of two cones with holes drilled into two sides at several height increments. A plastic pole is placed between two cones at a certain height, creating a small hurdle. Athletes must jump over these cones during drills and exercises.
Dome Cones
-
Dome cones are small, rounded cones that can be used as markers for sports drills or games. These cones can mark field boundaries, create lanes for drills and athlete organization, and act as obstacles to avoid or targets to hit. Dome cones can be used in almost every sport and can generally be purchased in a variety of bright colors for high visibility. Due to their dome shape, they are durable cones that can weather abuse from athletes' shoes or cleats.
Agility Cones
-
Agility cones are generally 9 to 12 inches tall and are rounded with a wide base for extra stability. Agility cones can be placed along the field as markers for drills such as touch-and-go and slalom. Agility cones can be purchased in a variety of shapes, including the traditional cone shape and narrow, tall cylindrical shapes. Agility cones are great for drills because they are higher than dome cones, which makes them visible to athletes.
Low-Profile Cones
-
Low-profile cones are disk-shaped cones that are generally only 2 inches in height. Their low profile makes them a great choice for sports such as soccer and field hockey, because they won't get consistently knocked over by stray balls and running players. Low-profile cones can be used to organize drills or create field boundaries without interrupting sport play.
