Balance Boards for Hockey Training

Wobble Boards
-
Wobble boards are small and round boards with a dome on the bottom that moves in multiple planes. The boards range in difficulty from big boards for the beginner to small boards for the advanced. The big boards are better for beginners by allowing balance training on a wider surface area with a bigger dome. As you advance to the small boards, the balance training becomes tougher due to the small surface area with a smaller dome on the bottom allowing more tilting of the board.
Balance Boards
-
A balance board is a rectangular board that acts as a see-saw. This board offers simultaneous movement through three planes of motion, and is ideal for the practice of stick-handling and improvement of coordination and balance.
Bongo Boards
-
Bongo boards are similar to balance boards, except the board is over a rolling fulcrum. The rolling fulcrum resembles a cylinder object on the bottom of the bongo board that will roll back and forth on the ground as you balance on top of it. You need to master weight shifting smoothly, as well as battling the tilt that happens due to the rolling fulcrum, in order to condition.
