The school's focus is on two primary methods for students, known as shaping and chaining. Through skating students learn the proper technique for skills such as turning, balancing, and stopping. Proficiency in power skating is assumed after students master each of the school's skill levels. A student's skating level is assessed before they are placed under one of eight badge levels.
