University Skating School

Children as young as age 4 can take lessons at the University Skating School. The University Skating School offers group power skating lessons ranging from elementary to the competitive level. Classes are offered to players between the ages of 4 and 16. Once a player's skill level is assessed, they will be placed in one of six phases, or classes. Classes begin with work on power skating then move to developing a player's hockey skills. While elementary phases focus on the fundamental techniques of skating forwards or backwards and how to balance on the ice, advanced phases allow students to work directly with head skating coach and former figure skater Suzanne Lamoureux-Kuehr. Call or email the University Skating School for information about class rates.
