1
Purchase the materials listed from a hardware store or lumberyard. Cut one of the 2-by-4-inch boards into six equal 1-foot parts. Measure from the other 2-by-4-inch boards, and cut two sections into 1 3/4-inch pieces. Label these pieces "1" and "2."

2
Measure and cut two pieces of wood into trapezoids. They should be 5 inches long on one side and 1 foot long on the other. This should still be from the second 2-by-4-inch board. Cut these on a 45-degree angle. Label them "3" and "4."

3
Cut a straight piece from two 2-by-4-inch boards into 2 1/2-foot pieces. Label them "5" and "6." Cut one dowel into three pieces. The first section is 1 foot by 3 inches. Label this "7." The second piece is 2 feet by 6 inches. Label this "8." The smallest one is 3 inches, and label it "9."

4
Mark and cut one section out of the last dowel. It should be 3 feet 6 inches long, and label it "10." Saw the remaining two pieces, with both measuring 3 inches long. Label these pieces "11" and "12." Snip the rope into four segments, with each being 2 feet long. Drill a hole into the middle of piece 5. Make sure it's large enough for the screw to fit. Insert the lag screw, and tighten it so the top of it sticks out.

5
Find parts 1 and 2. Drill a hole into the center of both of them. Place these on top of the ends of piece 6. Use the flat-headed screws to secure the pieces to the base. Flip it over, and drill a hole in the middle to allow the lag screw from piece 5 to be inserted into piece 6. Place 6 on top of 5, screwing the lag screw through piece 6. This is your completed base.

6
Drill holes into the remaining 2-by-4-inch board (your riser) at 32 inches, 48 inches and 60 inches from one end. On the other end, drill holes at 34 inches, 42 inches and 52 inches. Screw the bolt from the base into the 2-by-4-inch board you just drilled.
-
7
Attach the supports by drilling holes through 3 and 4, and anchor them from the base to the riser. Push 10 through the lowest hole on the riser, push 8 through the middle hole and push 7 into the top hole. Put 9, 11 and 12 into the narrow sides of the riser. Add some carpenter's glue to secure this into place. Tie the four pieces of rope onto the lowest horizontal dowel. Place your hockey equipment to dry.
