1
Saw one of the 10-foot sections of PVC pipe into two 51-inch-long pieces. Use a tape measure to determine the length and a fine tooth handsaw to cut the PVC. You will have 18 inches of PVC pipe left over from this section.
-
2
Saw the other 10-foot section of PVC pipe into two 40-inch pieces and two 20-inch pieces. There will not be any leftover PVC pipe from this section.
-
3
Connect the two 20-inch sections to the two 40-inch sections. Use the elbow connectors to attach them together. This forms two L-shaped pieces that will serve as the goal posts. Do not glue the pieces together yet.
-
4
Attach a net to the goal posts. Use a purchased replacement hockey net, or use mesh if you have any available around your home. Connect the net to the entire length of both of the L-shaped goal posts. Replacement nets connect with loops already made into the edge. For homemade mesh nets, use plastic zip ties to secure it to the PVC pipe.
-
5
Connect the 51-inch PVC sections to the goal posts. Install elbow connectors on both ends of the L-shaped goal posts. Place the 51-inch PVC sections between the two posts, creating a top bar for the goal and a ground bar for stabilization.
-
6
Attach the net to the top bar and ground bar of the hockey goal. Use the pre-made loops for a replacement net, or plastic zip ties to attach a homemade mesh section. Use scissors to cut the homemade mesh net to size after attaching.
-
7
Glue the PVC sections together. Once everything is test-fitted together, slip the sections apart at each elbow and apply PVC glue. Allow the glue to dry completely before you play with the hockey goal.
