How to Lift a Hockey Puck in the Air
Lifting a hockey puck into the air is completed sometimes for fun, but it is also done to pass the puck to the referee or to flip the puck into a bucket for storage. The lift is relatively easy to accomplish while on land, but can be more difficult when on ice, particularly for those who don't have a lot of skating experience. Lifting the puck also requires some forearm strength.

1
Place the middle of the edge of your stick blade onto the edge of the puck. Position your stick at a 35-degree angle.
-
2
Push down on your stick with enough force to flip the puck onto your stick's blade. Lift your stick into the air, along with the puck.
-
3
Propel your stick up quickly and then pull it back down to launch the puck into the air. Many hockey players then catch the puck on the stick blade again and push it back into the air.
