1
Cut a 2x6 into two 6-foot boards and five 33-inch pieces.
-
2
Cut the goals or "mouse holes." On two boards, cut a 4-inch wide by 3-inch tall hole in the center, which will be 16.5 inches on center. These will serve as the end goals, and will only require a single hole.
-
3
On one board, cut another goal in the middle, with two additional holes the same size, centered at five inches in from each end. Each of the three goals will be evenly spaced at 6.5 inches apart.

4
On the last two boards, cut two 4-inch wide by 3-inch tall holes spaced 6.5 inches apart. Each of these goals will be 5.25 inches off-center or 11.25 inches in from each edge.

Assemble the box. Lay the pieces out and make a visual inspection that all of the pieces have been cut properly. Drill pilot holes with a 1/16-inch drill bit where the pieces of wood will fasten together to make it easier to insert the wood screws. This will also prevent the wood from splitting.
Using 3-inch wood screws, assemble the outside frame. The boards with one goal will be at each end. The board with three holes will be inserted directly in the middle of the frame, three feet on center. One-and-a-half feet in from each end, attach the two boards with two goals.
Attach the 3-foot-by-6-foot piece of plywood or masonite to the bottom of the frame to form the floor of the box hockey game. Sand any rough edges and paint the game if desired.
