Instructions

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. Lace your hockey skate boots loosely enough that you can slide your foot into them easily. Lay them on a cookie or bar sheet to prevent getting lines on them from the oven rack.

    • 2

Turn the oven off when it reaches 180 degrees. Put the cookie sheets with your skates into the oven and close the door.

    • 3

Check your skates every few minutes to see if they are softening and not getting too hot. Remove them from the oven when the foams are soft enough for molding. Follow manufacturer’s heating times if your skates came with heat forming instructions or leave them in for about eight to ten minutes.

Put your skates on and lace them as tightly as you can. Pull out on the laces while tightening, working from the bottom all the way up the boot.

Avoid walking in your skates while they are molding to your feet. Sit with your feet in front of you so the blades rest flat on the floor. Remove your skates carefully after 15 minutes and allow the skates to cool for 24 hours before using them.
