Observe the upcoming corner from afar. Look for a part of the corner that is smooth and has minimal bumps.

Stand up on your foot pegs as you near the corner if the track is bumpy; this way, your arms and legs can absorb some of the shock. Place your weight on the rear wheel of your bike.

Ride toward the corner and wait as long as you can before engaging both the front and rear brake. Avoid waiting too long, because this may cause you to crash.

Sit down on the seat of the bike and assume the attack position. Place your hands on the wheel with your arms bent and elbows up. Lean into the corner. Avoid sitting down if the track is very bumpy; remain standing up when taking the corner.

Stretch your inside foot forward, toward the front wheel, at the sharpest point of the corner. Avoid locking your knee; keep it slightly bent. Transfer your weight to the other foot that's placed on the foot peg.

Skim the bottom of inside foot over the ground. Look for an exit point and place your foot back on the foot peg after completing the corner. Accelerate and pick up speed to quickly get to the next corner.
