1
Place the four-foot-long 1-inch diameter pipe in a metal bender machine. Compress the pipe so that it bends into a u-turn at the middle.
-
2
Reposition the pipe in the bender machine and bend the two ends upward, perpendicular to the u-curve in the middle. When done, the arms should form a 90-degree curve on each side.
-
3
Line up the bent pipe to the back of your motorcycle. Measure the upward bent end so that it meets underneath the rear fork in such a way that it would lift the tire off the ground.
-
4
Trim off the excess parts of the pipe that extend longer than the meeting point with the rear fork, using a hacksaw. Cut the extra material off after it exceeds three to four inches above the fork.
-
5
Attach square metal plates to the top of the tubes that will meet with the rear fork, using a welder. Additionally, weld a two-foot section of pipe to the back side of the u-curve in the first pipe to function as a tool handle.
-
6
Clean up the pipe with a rag after welding. Position it underneath the back wheel of your motorcycle and push down while propping up the rear fork and wheel. Check that the stand works properly and is stable.
