The Yamaha XT250 belongs to a family of off-road, dirt-oriented motorcycles from Japanese vehicle company Yamaha Motor Co. Yamaha has produced the next model year of the XT250 for availability in January 2011, with a suggested retail price of $4,990.

Of single overhead camshaft design, the engine uses a capacitor discharge ignition, an electronic ignition system common in motorcycles.
