How to Tie My Racket Handle String

Racquetball is a sport that is commonly played solely as a recreational activity, but it can also go beyond that. Some colleges offer racquetball programs, and if you are good enough, you can also play in the junior Olympics. No matter how or where you play, the action can be fast-paced and intense, and you need to take the proper precautions to protect yourself and other players. Tie a handle string to your racquet to ensure that it does not go flying as you play.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold your racquet upside down so that you have access to the flat bottom of the handle.

    • 2

Locate the dip in the center of the bottom of the racquet handle. Look for the small plastic or metal eyelet on the handle. Thread one end of nylon racquet handle string through the eyelet.

    • 3

Wrap the string around itself twice to form a strong double knot that is tight against the eyelet. Test the knot by pulling at it to ensure that it is as strong as possible.

    • 4

Form a loop in the middle of the remaining string, and pull the end of the string through the loop.

    • 5

Place the loop around your wrist. Pull on the loose end of the string below the loop to adjust the loop around your wrist. Pull on the string until the loop is as tight around your wrist as you can handle without it being too loose.
