How to Mount a Peinert Bow Ball
One of the biggest dangers in sculling is bow injury. Rowing craft often have sharply pointed bows designed to be aerodynamic that can cause injury to bystanders and other competitors if not properly covered. Protective bow covers known as "bow balls" make the bows less dangerous by blunting their ends. Install a Pienert bow ball on a rowing craft's bow to lessen the severity of bow impact and conform to competition safety regulations.
