How to Make Custom Graphics for Your Skis

When using skis bought from a department store or large skiing retail outlet, it is inevitable that you will run into someone with a set of skis that has the same design as yours. On the Internet, a few ski design companies offer their tools to print custom graphics. These graphics make your skis look unlike anyone else's and add some of your personal style to them as well.

  1. Creating the Design

      Open Microsoft Paint. To do so, click the "Start" button. By default, the search bar is selected. Type in "Paint" to automatically begin seeing results. Click on "Paint" under "Programs."

      Click on a color in the color box in the top-right corner of the screen. If you want to make a custom color, click "Edit Colors" beside the box and choose a color from the list inside the menu that displays in the center of the screen.

      Click on the pencil logo at the top of the screen. In the white box to the left of the pencil logo, click on a design.

      Click on the white box below the menus and move the mouse across the screen. This creates the design that you selected in Step 3. To edit the size, click on a white square around the design and move the mouse to your desired size. Add more designs at your own discretion.

      Click on the paint bucket icon. Select a color in the color box, then click inside of the design to fill the design with the chosen color.

      Click the blue "File" box and click "Save as." Double-click a folder on your computer and click the "Save" button to save your custom graphic on your computer.

    Having the Design Printed

      Visit SkiHide's website. Send an email to "custom@skihide.com." In the email, send the design of your choice, a background on SkiHide's site to use as the template and a description. The description can be text, but an image is ideal.

      Email FaceLife Concepts. Before emailing, read the custom graphics page on this company's site. FaceLife Concepts' email address is "customdesign@faceliftconcepts.com." When sending an email, send a picture of your design and that it is supposed to be on a pair of skis.

      Contact Ullr skis. Send an email to "info@ullrskis.com." Provide an image and a description. Ullr Skis will respond and help you make sure the design will fit on your pair of skis.
