How to Attach Snow Blades

The snow blade is a hybrid type of ski that allows you to perform freestyle tricks with ease. Often referred to as the ski board, the compact snow blade offers increased maneuverability for novice riders. Unlike recreational models used by alpine skiers, the snow blade does not require the use of poles for support. The step-in bindings allow you to attach your ski boots onto the top of the snow blades. According to Hickok Sports, the ski blade has a length of around 3.5 feet.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert your foot into a corresponding snow ski boot. Fasten the safety clips to ensure the boot gives you a snug, yet comfortable, fit. Repeat the process with your opposite foot.

    • 2

Place your snow blades onto the ground adjacent to each other. Lower your boot onto the corresponding binding. Slide your foot forward until the front end of the boot makes contact with the toe piece of the binding.

    • 3

Apply downward pressure to attach the snow blade to the bottom of your ski boot. Repeat the process with your other boot. Consult a DIN chart if you need to adjust the components of your snow blade bindings.
