How to Get the Nose of Your Snowboard to Carve More

1
Shift your weight forward more when carving. The distribution of your weight is an important factor in how you carve. If you lean back a lot and are unsure of yourself on your snowboard, you will end up relying too much on your back foot.
-
2
Look down the hill at where you want to go, rather than at the snowboard. This will help you to lean forward and put more pressure on your front foot on the nose of your snowboard.
-
3
Concentrate on what your front foot is doing and what the nose of your snowboard is doing while carving. The nose should act like a pivot for the rest of the snowboard. When you carve, think about moving your back foot from one side of your front foot to the other, while keeping the front foot and the nose of your snowboard firmly engaged with the snow.
