How to Get Rid of Scratches on Football Boots

Football boots are foot gear with cleats used for football, soccer and other sports performed on grassy, outdoor surfaces. They are not really boots, although many manufacturers use that term. Football boots come in a variety of materials, including leather and synthetic versions. With extended use, leather football boots can become scratched and scuffed. You can remove scratches with leather polish and leather oil, which will return the boots to their original appearance and keep them in good condition for years of use.

Instructions

    • 1

Clean the entire shoe with a soft bristle brush. Dampen a soft cloth and wipe down the surface of the shoe. Allow the shoes to dry before polishing or removing scratches.

    • 2

Place leather polish onto a soft cloth. Rub it into the surface of the shoe using circular motions. Continue to add polish until scratches start to disappear. Allow the shoe to dry for 24 hours.

    • 3

Rub leather oil into the surface of the shoe with a soft cloth to condition the leather, keep the shoe soft and remove any remaining scratches. Allow the shoe to dry for another 24 hours before wearing the shoes again, if possible.
