ASA Softball Bat List

The Amateur Softball Association, also known as the ASA, has specific regulations governing all aspects of fast and slow pitch softball leagues around the country. One of these regulations governs equipment, namely bats which can be used in games, as some bats have thicker aluminum walls and give an unfair advantage to hitters. Bats which are approved are often stamped with an ASA certified logo.
  1. Synergy Speed

    • Synergy Speed bats are made by Easton and have an end-loaded multi-wall barrel. These bats are designed for power hitters. The twelve inch barrel length gives a maximum amount of power to the bat itself, allowing it to hit softballs an incredibly long distance. The handle of every bat has a focused, flex handle technology which absorbs impact and allows players to swing the bat with more velocity. There is a 400 day manufacturers warranty on the bat in case the bat cracks or anything becomes loose inside the aluminum.

    Demarini The One

    • The full name of this bat is Demarini The One Misery Loves Company AKA-MLC. It is considered one of the best softball bats to have been approved by the ASA. This is a two piece bat designed to have a one-piece feel. The bat is stiffer on ball contact than most softball bats and has a barrel length of thirteen inches. Each bat's weight distribution is balanced and each includes a variegated comfort grip. While this bat has flex, it also has a stiffer feel, which is good for all types of hitting, be it power hitting home runs or just hitting solid line drives into the outfield.

    Mutant HD 120

    • Known as one of the best ASA approved softball bats, the Mutant HD 120 bat is a hybrid aluminum composite. The bat has a three piece technology and aluminum collar, which keeps the bat from vibrating and hurting batters' hands as it contacts the ball. These bats have a heavy duty design with more flex than a one piece composite and a balanced swing weight. These aluminum bats are guaranteed by their manufacturer not to dent, bend or crack if used properly in a softball game.
