ASA Rules for Playing Softball
-
Age
-
The minimum age requirement is 9 years old, and the player has the option to play in slow-pitch or fast-pitch softball. There is no maximum age limit.
Handicaps
-
No player, under any circumstances, can play with a handicap unless approved through the local ASA branch. Handicap notice must be made during registration.
Bunting

Each team and individual is required to pay a fee to play. Total cost of play is determined by the age group and type of softball being played.
Equipment
-
ASA-certified equipment is required to play for ASA-related games. The ASA insignia is applied to all ASA-certified equipment.
