What Equipment Is Needed to Play Softball?

It is essential that certain equipped be employed when playing softball. Without preferred equipment a player can risk injury when on the field. Certain leagues, such as Amateur Softball Association of America leagues, require equipment specially certified by them.
  1. Fielding Gloves

    • Softball gloves are wider and longer than baseball gloves to compensate for the size of the ball.

    Bats

    • Softball bats must be at most 34 inches long, and at least 29 inches long. There is no minimum or maximum weight.
