How to Load a Crossman G1 Extreme Pellet Gun

The Crosman G1 Xtreme air rifle is primarily used for target practice and small game hunting. Since the G1 only shoots .177-caliber pellets, the game that it can successfully kill are squirrels, birds and rabbits. Most G1s come with a 3-9x32mm scope. This helps zero in on your target. If you plan on taking your G1 out for some shooting, you will need to know how to load it. Loading any firearm is dangerous and caution should be taken when using the G1.

Instructions

    • 1

Put on safety glasses. Point the gun away from your body and hold the gun perpendicular to yourself.

    • 2

Turn the safety to the "On" position. The safety is the smaller of the two triggers on the gun. Pull the safety toward the trigger until it clicks in place.

    • 3

Put one hand on the gun stock at the bottom of the rifle, then put your other hand on the end of the barrel.

    • 4

Pull the barrel down to cock it. You will feel resistance. Do not use excessive force in cocking the gun. Allow the barrel to rest in place once you have pulled it all the way down.

    • 5

Place a pellet nose forward into the breech. The breech is the small hole on the gun stock side of the barrel. Push the pellet into place so it is flush with the breech.

    • 6

Bring the barrel back upright until it clicks into place. The gun is now cocked and loaded. Push the safety forward to turn it off. Point at your target and pull the trigger when ready.
