How to Adjust the Front Sights on an HK
HK rifles are used by the military, for law enforcement and in shooting sports. HK rifles have front sights, so the shooter can aim without the need for a scope. If you would like to sight in your HK riffle, you can adjust the sights until you have them properly lined up with your target. You don't have to be a gunsmith to get your HK rifle's front sights aligned. You can do it yourself with little hassle.
Things You'll Need
- Phillips head screwdriver
- HK adjustment tool
- HK elevation tool

Make sure that your rifle has the safety on. The safety is located on the right side of the rifle and engages a lock on the firing pin. Check to ensure that the chamber is clear and no ammunition is present in the magazine.

Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the clamping screw on the back of the sight.

Use the adjustment tool to turn the sight to the left or right. Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to move the sight left and turn the screw counterclockwise to move the sight right.

Insert the elevation tool into the cylinder on the rear sight. Insert your Phillips head screwdriver into the elevation tool. Pry the sight to the correct elevation.
