Will the HKS 940 Speedloader Work With M&P?

The HKS 940 speedloader claims to load 15 rounds in 18 seconds in double-stacked magazines. The model 440 is typically used with single-stacked magazines. Models in the 900s are used with double-stacked magazines.

      S&W .40 Cal. 411, 4003, 4006, 4026, 4043, 4046, (M&P 9mm & 40 Cal. [*see note below])

      Sig P226, P228, P229, (SP2340, SP2009, SP2022, SP2340, Military M11)

      Taurus .40 Cal. PT100, PT101, 940, (24/7 Pro [thin base])

      CZ 75, 85, 99 & TZ

      (Daewoo DH-40, DP-51)

      (Mauser 80, 90)

      *The 940 is not designed to load M&P magazines.

    Statement by HKS

    • The HKS Speedloader website says "The HKS 940 is not designed for the S&W M&P 9mm or .40, but customers have reported that it works well enough for them."

    Proper Use

    • While the 940 Speedloader was not intentionally designed with the M&P in mind, the M&P magazine bears enough resemblance to the other magazines to allow functionality. If the 940 fails, you might attempt to use the 940 GL. Use these speedloaders at your own discretion.
