How to Disassemble a Semiautomatic Rifle

There are several reasons you may need to disassemble your semiautomatic rifle: you may be replacing one or more components of the weapon; you may be examining the rifle for damage; or you may be cleaning it after an event in the field or to remove cumulative wear and powder damage. Unscrew the screw at the front of the trigger guard that holds the trigger guard onto the bottom of the stock.

    • 4

Align the safety switch with the center of the gun, so that equivalent lengths extend on either side of the gun.
