How to Remove an Ejector From an SVT-40 Bolt
Removing an ejector from the SVT-40 bolt can be done by taking the rifle apart. The ejector is made up of a recoil spring and carrier operated by the rifle bolt. Occasionally, the ejector mechanism will wear out or get damaged, requiring that the ejector be removed in order to be repaired or replaced. You can remove the ejector from the SVT-40 rifle bolt without any tools in just a few minutes.

Move the bolt cover of the SVT-40 rifle forward and raise the back of the bolt cover to access the recoil spring.

Let the spring move back into position and move the bolt cover back, turning it to the right.

Push the bolt forward and take the tension off the recoil spring.

Remove the bolt and carrier as well as the recoil spring from the SVT-40 rifle receiver.
