1
Empty the carbon dioxide from the carbon dioxide tank by partially screwing it onto the paintball marker's air source adapter, unless it is already empty. The air source adapter is used to connect air tanks to a paintball marker. Slowly screw the tank on until a hissing sound is heard. This means the carbon dioxide is escaping from the tank. Make sure the tank is completely empty prior to continuing to the next step. Failure to empty the tank can be extremely dangerous.

2
Place a strip of rubber around the broken valve that is still on the carbon dioxide tank. Tighten the table vise around the valve making sure the tank portion of the tank is facing upwards. Once the tank is valve is firmly in place, twist the tank clockwise to remove it. If the tank does not move, it may be necessary to heat the valve with a heat gun. This will loosen the semi-permanent thread locking adhesive on the threads.

3
Remove the broken valve from the carbon dioxide tank once it is loose. Place some semi-permanent thread locking adhesive on the threads of the new brass pin valve and insert the valve into the tank. Use the 7/8-inch wrench to tighten the new valve to the tank. Tighten the valve firmly, but do not over tighten it. Wait at least 12 hours to refill the tank with carbon dioxide.
