How to Care for Leather Gore Tex Boots

Routine cleaning and repair of leather Gore-Tex boots ensures their high performance and extends their lifespan. Even though leather boots with Gore-Tex liners are already waterproof, the leather needs to be treated as well, to improve the water repellency of the boots. After the initial treatment, regular conditioning is required to prevent the leather from drying out. If the boots get dry and stiff, the fibers may be damaged, which ruins the fit of the boot and decreases water repellency.
