Front Wall Line Definition
The front wall line is a line across the front wall of a squash court. Also called the service line, this line is important during serves that occur during a game of squash. The front wall line must be a specific height off the ground. However, after the serve to begin a rally, it is no longer important. Once the rally ends, and a player prepares to serve, he must again be mindful of the position of the line.

1
Note the position of the service line, which runs across the length of the entire front wall of the squash court. This line is 6 feet off the ground.
-
2
Prepare to serve by standing in the service box on either side of the court. You do not have to have both feet inside the service box, but one foot must be inside the box during service.
-
3
Serve the ball by hitting it against the wall above the service line. To be legal, the serve must bounce off the wall above the line and land in the quarter-court on the opposite side of the court. If the ball hits the wall below the line, it is considered a fault and the other player takes over.
