Dimensions
-
Singles courts are 9,750 millimeters (or 32 feet) by 6,400 millimeters (or 21 feet) plus or minus 10 mm (or 0.4 inches). Doubles courts are 9,750 millimeters (or 32 feet) by 7,620 millimeters (or 25 feet) plus or minus 10 mm (or 0.4 inches). The court must have no obstructions up to a height of 5.64 meters (or 18.5 feet).

-
The door into the court should be on the back wall. Ideally it should be in the middle, but regulations allow the door to be positioned anywhere in the middle third of the wall. The door must open into the court. The door can be a maximum of 900 millimeters (or 3 feet) wide and 2,130 millimeters (or 7 feet high). It must be flush with the surrounding wall.
Floor and Lighting
-
The floor should be a hard flat surface that is not slippery when slightly wet. Any windows in the court should be covered with blinds. All lighting in the court must be from artificial light 1,000 millimeters (or 3.3 feet) above the floor. The court must be equipped with a temperature control system that will keep the court between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius, which is between 50 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
Colors
-
Only three colors may be used in the court. Both side walls must be the same solid color. Regulations allow two colors on the front wall divided by the service line. No patterns, including logos, are permitted on the floor or walls without prior permission from the World Squash Federation.
